Tricam GOR865D11-1 Gorilla Carts 1200-Pound Capacity Heavy Duty Poly Dump Cart

I recently moved into a 50+ year old house that needed a lot of heavy yard work. I needed to move a ton or more of gravel, dozens of stones weighing over 100 lbs each, lots of bricks, and loads and loads of dirt. I went to our local big-box home supply store to get a wheelbarrow when I saw this item. It made so much more sense for what I needed to do and even though it cost more that I was planning to spend I got it. I have to be honest and say that putting it together was a pain for me. I'm not the world's handiest guy and it took me a good 2 hours to assemble it, even with help (this cart is big enough to require 2 people to put it together). The instructions could have been much better as it contained a lot of charts but few written directions. However, like childbirth, once you have brought it into the world you forget about the labor (okay, I've never given birth so I am only going by what I have heard from those that have). Once assembled you have to inflate the tires. It's those pneumatic tires that makes carrying large loads possible. The cart is rated for 1200 pounds but I am pretty sure that I will never test that claim. I am not sure how much I have put in it but I have loaded it full with pea-sized gravel many times and it still handles well. Learning to steer it took some time but it can maneuver well in a small space. The handle can come off so that you can attach it to a small tractor, lawn mower, or ATV. I have never pulled it with a powered vehicle so I can't address that feature. However, I can say that the handle is well made and does what I need it to do. One of my favorite features about the Gorilla cart is that it is so easy to dump. When you pull the release handle and lift it the wheels move closer together making it easier to dump heavy loads of gravel, soil, or rocks. Another thing that I like is how tough the bed of the cart is. Yes, it can be scratched and marred but I see them as badges of honor. This thing is tough and a pleasure to use. I have not had any problems with it so I have not tested the company's customer service department. I am hoping that this cart lasts me for years. If a problem does come up I will post updates here.
